If the books you want are not available at the Wood Buffalo Regional Library, staff will make every effort to obtain them from another lending institution.
- Items usually arrive within 2 – 8 weeks
- There is a 5 book maximum for interlibrary loan requests
- Some restrictions apply to the type of materials that may be loaned
- To access the interlibrary loan service you must be a member of the Wood Buffalo Regional Library
If you wish to request an extension on your ILL, please contact the Public Services Desk at 780-743-7800. Not all extensions requests may be granted.
You can now place interlibrary loan requests directly on the Relais website. Simply visit the website, choose Wood Buffalo Regional Library, search for the title or author you are looking for, and place the request. You'll be required to fill out information, including your library card barcode number and PIN.
You can also check on the status of your ILL requests on the Relais website by clicking on the icon in the upper right hand corner and logging in.

Interlibrary Loan services are interrupted during the Christmas holiday season. ILLs may be processed, but not ordered from December 14 to the first week of January. Regular service will resume after the holidays.
