We bring the Library to you! WBRL strives to offer high-quality programs and services to rural residents throughout the RMWB.

Our programmers visit our rural locations monthly bringing programming to daycares, schools, and the community each month.

Need an item from the library in Fort McMurray? We'll deliver it to you! You can also access our many online resources with your free library card from wherever you may be!

Your free library card opens you up to a world of limitless possibilities, and library materials that we'll deliver to you in your community!

Simply place your hold requests online, choose the appropriate community for pick up, and we'll take care of the rest!

F.A.Qs

  • Borrow by Mail is a free service offered to residents in rural locations within the RMWB. Sign up for your free library card, place your hold requests, and choose your community as the pickup location. We'll mail your items directly to you.

    When you're finished, return the materials to the book drop in your community (Janvier, Fort Chipewyan, Anzac, Conklin) or contact us at bxm@wbrl.ca or 780-743-7800 to arrange a return (Fort McKay). 

  • The loan period for rural residents is 6 weeks.

    Many items will automatically renew up to 3 times, if another patron does not have a hold. You can also place renewal requests online by signing into your online account or calling 780-743-7800.
